Unauthorised transaction, Complaint handling

In the Ombudsman’s words

She’s questioned several withdrawals she doesn’t recognise. She says she didn’t make them.Unauthorised transaction
I can see Barclays did make an initial mistake when Mrs B first raised her query. I don’t doubt that’s caused some of the confusion. But the bank’s acknowledged this and paid her compensation of £40, which I think’s fair.Complaint handling

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN2131725.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
