What this decision was about
Card dispute or chargeback, Complaint handling
In the Ombudsman’s words
Nationwide said Mr C and Miss C willingly made the payment for goods and services they had received, so didn’t treat it as fraud or a scam. It also looked into whether a chargeback could be carried out on the paymentCard dispute or chargeback
Nationwide has offered Mr C and Miss C £50 as compensation for the delays in responding to them. And I think this offer is fair and reasonable.Complaint handling

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN9700061.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.
The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
