What this decision was about

Charges and fees, Product mis-sold

In the Ombudsman’s words

Mrs A complains that 123 Debt Solutions Limited (“DS”) didn’t tell her when she entered into an agreement with it about the length of her debt management plan (“DMP”) with it and all the charges for the plan.Charges and fees
The failure to set out the required terms also meant that Mrs A wasn’t completely aware of what she was agreeing to, and I thought that had she realised the end date of the DMP, she wouldn’t have entered into it.Product mis-sold

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN7879800.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
