In the Ombudsman’s words

Lloyds accepts that it has provided incorrect information to Mrs C and it has apologised for doing so and has paid her £75 compensation. However, it says that the marker has been correctly placed on its internal records relating to Mrs C because she defaulted on a card in 1999. It says that the marker does not relate to her insurance complaint as it has removed that adverse information from her credit file as it had agreed to do.Credit file reporting

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN7340601.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
