Thu Nov 05deadline to accept (not the decision date)

What this decision was about
Mortgage administration, Complaint handling
In the Ombudsman’s words
Mr D and Mrs M complain that Ulster Bank Ltd have failed to add Mrs M to Mr D’s mortgage loan.Mortgage administration
I disagree. It clearly stems from the overall complaint that Mrs M hasn’t yet been added to the mortgage. It was also part of Ulster’s offer to Mr D and Mrs M. And so I am satisfied that it has been correctly treated as being within the remit of this case.Complaint handling

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN6501059.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.
The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
