In the Ombudsman’s words
Mr T complains that Lloyds Bank PLC treated him unfairly in relation to his credit card account. He says that the bank gave him incorrect information about exchange rates and didn’t offer him a more favourable credit card account that would have saved him money.Charges and fees
Mr T says that he queried the fee and the bank told him that it charged him the transaction fee as was receiving a more favourable exchange rate. Mr T didn’t think that was correct. He says that he asked for details of the two exchange rates but the bank didn’t provide them.Product mis-sold

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN3482589.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.
The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
