In the Ombudsman’s words
Mr D complains that Barclays Bank UK Plc trading as Barclaycard provided him with incorrect information and allowed payments to be taken from his credit card account after he’d reported his card as lost.Card dispute or chargeback
I acknowledge there was one instance of incorrect information being provided. But overall, considering all the interaction throughout the circumstances relevant to this complaint, I don’t think Barclaycard provided poor service such that a compensation award is appropriate.Service failure

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN-4178964.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.
The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
