In the Ombudsman’s words

Miss D complains HSBC UK Bank Plc has not treated her fairly when she tried to dispute a number of payments on her credit card.Card dispute or chargeback
I also find the service provided by HSBC around the chargeback process was very poor in places, especially when it came to communicating the reversal of the temporary refunds, which it had failed to communicate at all.Service failure

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN-4166448.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
