Tue Mar 21deadline to accept (not the decision date)

What this decision was about
In the Ombudsman’s words
Mr P has said he contacted Bank of Scotland the day after he’d made the payment. He said it asked him a number of questions about the purchase and the car, including whether there were any faults with it. Mr P has said if Bank of Scotland had spoken to him before he’d made the payment, rather than after he’d made it, the answers he would have given would have appeared suspicious to the bank and something could have been done.APP scam refund refused

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN-3758813.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.
The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
