Wed Oct 19deadline to accept (not the decision date)

What this decision was about
Treatment in financial difficulty, Charges and fees
In the Ombudsman’s words
Lloyds acted unfairly when it continued charging overdraft interest and associated fees after it increased Mr F’s overdraft limit on 19 October 2016. By this point, it ought to have been clear that Mr F was in no position to sustainably repay what he owed within a reasonable period of time.Treatment in financial difficulty
Lloyds will be familiar with all the rules, regulations and good industry practice we consider when looking at whether a bank treated a customer fairly and reasonably when applying overdraft charges.Charges and fees

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN-3047104.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.
The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
