What this decision was about

Credit file reporting, Complaint handling

In the Ombudsman’s words

Mr M’s complaint about this information has been assessed by one of our adjudicators. She thought that the information Satsuma gave Mr M wasn’t as good as it should have been. But she also thought that even if Mr M had been given better information his financial situation would have meant that his credit file would still have been affected.Credit file reporting
My final decision is that I uphold Mr M’s complaint that he wasn’t given enough information when he rescheduled his loan repayments.Complaint handling

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN9732960.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
