Mrs W complains that HSBC UK Bank Plc (‘HSBC’) did not reimburse the funds she lost to a scam.APP scam refund refused
As a result, they felt a reduction in the redress of 25% was fair in the circumstances, as well as 8% simple interest from the date of the transactions to the date of settlement. They also felt £1,000 in compensation for the mistakes HSBC made in not blocking the payments and carrying out a full review of her accounts was fair.Support for vulnerable customers
