What this decision was about

Complaint handling

In the Ombudsman’s words

Mr B contacted NBS because text messages/alerts relating to his joint account with Mrs B were only being received on Mrs B’s mobile phone and not his. NBS investigated Mr B’s complaint and said it couldn’t uphold it because Mr B’s phone number was correct on its system and messages were being sent from itself to Mr B.Complaint handling

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN-4748761.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
