Support for vulnerable customers, Service failure
In the Ombudsman’s words
They’ve also made an extremely serious error in revealing Mrs S’ address to her abusive husband.Support for vulnerable customers
I do think HSBC have made quite disappointing errors regarding getting Mrs S’ brother added to the account, the incorrect information it gave about the terms and conditions and cancelling her credit card. They’ve also made an extremely serious error in revealing Mrs S’ address to her abusive husband.Service failure

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN-4051918.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.
The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
