What this decision was about
Interest and rates, Complaint handling
In the Ombudsman’s words
Ms B complains that Nationwide Building Society (“Nationwide”) didn’t tell her about changes to the interest rate which applied to her account.Interest and rates
It’s unfortunate that incorrect information was provided in response. And it’s not clear why a copy of the original notification wasn’t re-sent to Ms B, when it was apparent from her first contact that she hadn’t received it. I think that should have happened.Complaint handling

This page summarises the Ombudsman’s published final decision. The document itself is the record: DRN-2795457.pdf on financial-ombudsman.org.uk.
The outcome shown is the Ombudsman’s own published classification, not our reading of the text. Nothing here is legal advice, and a decision concerns only the complaint it was made about.
